What other features would you like to see added to this site?
1. None
2. comprehensive site
3. The graphics (specifically the text of the replacement window) was not readable. I would include photos from real homes-perhaps before and afters. The photos do not look like typical Connecticut homes.
4. Seemed adequate
5. Pictures of the home and the homeowners, makes it more personal.
6. more pictures. past projects
7. Pricing is always something people like to see.
8. I like the testimonies on the side of the site. If you could expand on that idea and maybe ad photographic samples of jobs completed and satisfied past customers I really think it would drive the idea home. Especially when it comes to things like kitchens and bathrooms as everyone wants that dream home.
9. none
10. project calculators
11. What areas do they serve. Are they nationwide or local?
12. Well, it has everything I would be concerned about...search, contact, subrscripton to newsletter even!
13. more how to articles
14. I get a very small image of the website, it's hard to read the content.
15. None at the moment
16. not anything I Can think of
17. none
18. Some photos of the owners would make the sight more appealing. Perhaps photos of workers on the job site.
19. the logo, and me knowing what site I'm on- was proportionally small in the upper left hand corner. otherwise.. sharp looking site!
20. more info in the individual categories.
21. Would it make sense to have links to the dealers they use to review the products warranties??
22. video of the services...
23. more articles, more before and after pictures, possibly testimonials with them
24. No
25. more info on design and materials
26. Do you supply replacement parts?
27. maybe some pix of former projects before and after w/ a "mock" budget for "typical" projects :)
28. I love the site; however, there are a couple things on the "About Us" page that I think may make it look better. The space between the two lines of the header is too small. The centering of the bullet point content doesn't look as appealing to me as it would if it were left-justified. Just my opinion.
29. the coupons i was hoping would have a print coupon option. that would be nice.
30. Maybe a page of testimonials from those who have used the company before
31. I didn't see a picture of the fiber tuff woodgrain doors.
32. none that i can think of
33. None.
34. can't think of anything
35. Don't really know anything about this industry, but it seems very informative and complete.
36. More Before & After pics
37. It seems complete to me.
38. as you roll-over the picture of the house on the front page itwould like to have seen a link to that product or at least a preview window .
39. the pictures in the slide show - main page - were blocked by my internet explorer (ver 6.0)
40. More before and after photos for each section (only SIDING has this feature). Accompanying the before and after photos perhaps have links or pop-up windows that display people's testimonials. Perhaps show the people beside their home to convey a face and push the LOCALISM appeal to the business. Also, perhaps make the PDF/PRINT/EMAIL feature available on all pages (not just the articles)?
41. Not currently in the market for home improvement, so I am not sure what I would be looking for on a website if I were. It seems pretty complete as it is.
42. Bio's on the owners FAQ's
43. virtual updates for you home (like trying on colors and features for a number of commom styles of homes).
44. none
45. The image of the house on the home page has the labels that look like buttons. It would be great to click on these for more information. It would also be great to have an interactive builder for designing options. This would help the user learn about what's available and see what it will look like.
46. More real pictures... The phone graphic is corny and unfriendly... No pictures uf "us" in the contact pages... although the phone numbers are there and they are listed below. Once again grat redundancy. The site seems National not local... I can't tell who the target audince is. Perhaps some local/regiona examples of work completed woudl give it a more homey feel.
47. I liked the before and after photos, I might use more photos for this tool.
48. Maybe some before and after shots for dramatic effect.
49. Companies that get my business tend to be one's that make it very easy. As it is, the site is great, but I feel it could do more to hold the customer's hand more through requesting an estimate or finding out more specifics on what work can be done. Obviously the goal is for the customer not to leave the site before taking some action. What would be helpful would be a statement telling me how quickly to expect a response -- really anything welcoming my requests, acheiving a more "personal" connection. Also maybe a topic checkbox list showing options. The more people that contact the company, even if they're not sure whether/when they want the work to start, the better.
50. Possible a cost calculator for windows, siding or gutters. Of course, subject to actual formal bid.
51. i think what is there is great. you would only need to add stuff if the company adds something to their services
52. None
53. Can't think of any.
54. Before & after photos of previous work
55. Good for its purpose as is. The three columns (or the text and pictures therein) seemed a bit scrunched however, making it a little difficult for me on the eyes.
56. The only thing is asthetic not functional. The fading picture box should be highlighted somewhat to draw the eye to it a bit more.
57. One of the best I've seen. The screen transitions were very quick and smooth.
58. maybe employee backgrounds of long term employees - management
59. Maybe some examples of their actual work
60. N/A
61. none
62. Ability to schedule a quote.
63. I always like to see prices, even if it's only ballpark
64. Photos of actual work done - to complement the testimonials.
65. don't know... maybe a page where I could see the testimonials and finished projects. maybe photos of the crew on-site?
66. I would like to see more how to articles without having to subscribe to the newsletter. I would also like to see examples of previous work.
67. The only thing I don't really like (and it's very minor) is on the "About Us" page. You have bullets next to your key points. However, you centered the info for "INSURED" and left the bullets on the far left. I know it's a formatting thing you may not be able to fix, but it just makes the page look a little off... if that makes any sense.
68. A list of manufacturers names that they use frequently
69. nothing. Only comment is an aesthetic change - on the link to bath liners the second paragraph is too close to the second picture, it needs a small space between it as there are on other pages with pics - so it doesn't seem crammed in. Otherwise nothing else.
70. not sure....I love the way the page changes so quickly and the pictures renew
71. None. Pretty good site.
72. in the "Home Improvement Specialists" section I think each category name should be a link to more info about that category.
73. I would like to see a portfolio of prior jobs under each service catagory.
74. It looked good to me.
75. Tough to say, since I am not looking for specific work. But it seemed as though I could click through and find alot of information.
76. Looks very good
77. I would like it to feel less like a template site. Also, not much depth to the pages, it just skims on the surface of what they do. Search seams like overkill for such a tiny site
78. Video of work in progress.
79. more examples of projects that can be done, maybe some before and afters.
80. maybe more pictures of jobs done
81. None
82. seems fine for now
83. Possibly more before & after photos for the rest of the service categories- those are a great touch.
84. Insurance company logo on main page
85. maybe use flash to show images of products... having pictures in the middle screen seems somewhat bunched up, or at least there seems like there would be a nicer way to do it...
